Welcome to our first official devlog.
It is the first milestone in our project. In this presentatio,n we show our concept and initial approach to each character's own mechanics with some gameplay in the demo right here in this post.
- Two players can be playable with some unique move sests: the Runner and the Chaser.
Runner:
Runner has a more "realistic" move set, every move they make has momentum, so any mistake means a huge loss in time.
- Runner now has the ability to perform a wall jump, wichincludes the secret "Chaser Jump."
- Runner now can grip into walls, reducing their falling speed.
- Runner has a higher max speed than the Chaser but a slower acceleration.
Chaser:
The idea behind Chaser is to be an unstoppable force robot. So he will just break everything in his path to catch the runner, practically flying in the air.
- Chaser now has a flying mechanic instead of a normal jump; this means a faster way to go up but slows the horizontal movement.
- Chaser can break some obstacles to be able to reach some areas with less effort.
In this demo, there are two stages with portals that loop to each other.
There is still no win condition for any of the players.
Our plan for the future is to start getting some assets, make more levels, and refine the move set for both Chaser and Runner.
